One man’s trash is another’s treasure
My last NYCC 2007 acquisition. I really like Jae’s pencil work and the inks are normally quite dramatic. He was at the show but didn’t have a spot in artist alley; I spotted him at the Albert Moy booth as I was buying this page.
From the NYCC: an amazing Kevin Maguire page. I really enjoy tight and clean pencil artwork, and they’re hard to come by. This is a real gem in my collection, especially for the half page Dr. Strange!
A few more purchases from NYCC. Found Patrick Gleason in artist alley and have been admiring his work in GL Corps. Hoping to score some cheap pages I found his stuff to be a little pricey for a newer artist but couldn’t resist the draw of these pages.
More treasures from the NYCC. This was my first opportunity to meet Michael Avon Oeming: he had a ton of pages for sale at very reasonable prices. I’m looking forward to thumbing through all his pages in Toronto this summer.
