One man’s trash is another’s treasure
Picked this up at the Toronto Expo from Mike Morales, a very clean inker. He sells his pages for a reasonable price and doesn’t gouge based on the penciller. I’m a huge fan of Dr. Stange, but his appearances are few and far between. Romita Jr. did a beautiful job on this, and Morales’ inks give it a murky depth.
Picked this up at the Toronto Comic Book Expo: the cover to the latest DC Question series. Tommy had three covers for sale, but this one I felt was the most dynamic.
Attended the Toronto show on the weekend and came away with quite a few treasures which I’ll post over the next few days. To start things off is a jam sketch from Tommy Lee Edwards, John Paul Leon, Sean Chen and Bernard Chang: BLVD Studio. The first day I had bought a bunch of stuff and received tickets for a jam sketch raffle, but I was the only purchaser there at the end of the day so I won. They asked for the characters and a late night scene, so I said Batman and Robin and my friend said Captain America and Red Skull, all leaving a bar drunk.
